Join us for the next KCSPM meeting Tuesday, October 4 at Westside Local, 1663 Summit Street KC MO 64108.  We will have social time beginning at 6:00 pm with a short business meeting to follow.  

We are seeking officer (President, Secretary, and Treasurer) as well as Board Member at Large nominations for 2017.  All positions are open for nomination, but current board members are eligible to run for re-election as well.  Our hope as a society is that our leadership is rotating and reflects the full span of HPM practices across the metro.

Nominate an outstanding leader for the Ann Allegre MD Leadership Award. Send a short email to Pam Harris indicating how your nominee has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities in our field.  Nominees may be from any discipline (does not have to be limited to physicians) and an organization as a whole is also eligible for the award.  The nominees may come from anywhere in the greater metropolitan area.  Nominations are due by 12/31/16.  The current Board of Directors will determine the award winner from nominations presented.

Save the date for a primary palliative care program offered by KCSPM onWednesday, December 7, 2016 at Diastole.  More details to come, but begin thinking of providers outside the HPM services at your institution who might benefit from a discussion about beginning difficult conversations and primary and specialty HPM services.  As we will be hosting this event, we may need members who are available to assist that evening as well.  That program will take the place of the last KCSPM meeting of the year.  Stay tuned...

The Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Meeting for the society will beThursday, February 2, place TBD.  We will have election of new officers at that meeting, so save the date as well.
